A team of chartered accountants, accounting professionals, and technology experts came together to study the paradigm shift in accounting compliance – manual to digital in the year 2016.
Following this, in 2017, a tax reform created ripples in the indian economy - gst. It subsumed various indirect taxes and fostered the concept of “One Nation One Tax”. However, taxpayers were finding it hard to understand the nuances of the new indirect tax regime. The continuous changes in compliance made things all the more challenging for them. They started considering gst as a burden due to a lack of awareness and the right means to get started.
This shift gave birth to HostBooks - a company founded to simplify compliance for small businesses and accounting professionals through cutting-edge technology.
To put an end to the issues arising on account of compliance – the team developed “all-in-one automated accounting software” – a comprehensive online platform for accounting, GST, E-Way bill, TDS, Income Tax, and POS solutions.

He is a qualified CPA (Ireland) and Fellow Chartered Accountant (India), first-class management, and law graduate, having an advance qualification in information systems. He is a lover of learning who keeps kindling and challenging the fire of knowledge. He has dedicated his life to continuing education because he firmly believes business is only as strong as the people behind it. This is why he is currently pursuing his doctorate (Ph.D.) in Business Administration from AIMA-AMU.
Kapil has over ten years of the technology sector and executive experience. He now serves as a leader who creates, develops, and implements a clearly defined and ambitious, yet achievable business strategy. Under his able leadership, HostBooks has exponentially expanded its operations nationally and internationally, with 50,000+ customers in India and worldwide in a very short span of time.
Amit Mukherji is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at HostBooks. He is a B-Tech and also a Post Graduate in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur. With a professional experience of more than 28 years, he possesses the ability to influence and motivate customer interaction. He believes in empowering teams for entrepreneurial ventures with sustainable profitability. And, he also makes sure that the corporate profitability, policies, procedures, and strategies are in accordance with the values and integrity of the organization.
Biswajit Mishra is a Chartered Accountant and has an experience of 18 years in the domains of Finance & Accounts, Banking, IT & Development, Investment Banking, Sales and Co-founding Startups. He began his career in Accounts and Finance and then moved to other major fields. Having worked at Senior Management positions for years in companies like OFB, DG Mezzanine Fund, DLF, E&Y & Maruti-Suzuki, his core competency lies in managing big teams by influencing and motivating them to achieve the desired goals.
Sudipto has more than 27 years of experience in Software Sales & Business Development. He's an Economics Graduate who pursued Project Management (IIT Delhi) and Senior Management Program (IIM Ahmedabad). In his professional journey, he has focused on SME & Enterprise level customers, handled sales both direct & channel, and has closely worked with influencer communities. He was instrumental in GST rollout on the enablement of CAs in adopting the right technology for GST transit, along with ICAI. He has previously worked with TCS, Tally, and Development Consultants Ltd.
Raj Mishra heads the Channel Partner operations at HostBooks Limited. He has an experience of over 26 years spread across IT, Sales & Business Development domains. He started as a Business Developer and then migrated to client facing assignments, interactions and business development for Key Accounts. As a Channel enabler, he has been actively managing both PAN India & international projects. Having worked with renowned companies like Polaris Infotech and Intuit Inc., his rich work experience enables him to gain a deeper insight into the channel partner processes.
